T-2 Months to Launch

Our Top 5 Moments from 2024

We’ve had quite the busy twelve months, but even so - it’s important to take a step back to look at what we’ve achieved. Without further ado, here’s Bedo’s 2024 Wrapped, in no particular order:

#1 — Demand is hot for 10cm satellite imagery 📈 🔥

Since this blog post, we’ve signed a total of 19 companies to Albedo Reserve and sold out of the US until 2027! ICYMI: Albedo Reserve is our tasking reservation program to guarantee access to our tasked imagery our first two years on orbit.

#2 — We’re not just an Earth Observation mission

  • Mars: Albedo was among nine companies, including SpaceX, selected to conduct early-stage studies of concepts for commercial services to support lower-cost, higher-frequency missions to the Red Planet. We specifically looked at adapting our VLEO mission to image the surface of Mars 👽.

  • Space Domain Awareness: Not only can we image other planets, but we can also image other objects in space. Through our TACFI program, Albedo will study how Clarity-1 can enhance Space Domain Awareness of objects in multiple orbits, leveraging our thermal sensor and precision pointing capabilities.

#3 — We showcased our VLEO platform at See Clarity Day

The day included a comprehensive tour of how we achieve our VLEO mission and keynote speeches from Senator John Hickenlooper (CO) and former NASA administrator Dan Goldin. The Senator even built one of Clarity-1’s solar arrays himself.

#4 — Our level of precision is a defining and worthy challenge

A lot goes into ensuring our overall system will actually capture aerial-quality imagery from space. We’re closer than ever — from the individual hardware component level through the many layers of software — to making our imaging mission below a reality.

#5 — Clarity-1 is on track for a March 2025 launch

There’s a lot we could say here, but we won’t spoil the fun of the next few months. After all, this was a retrospective 😉

We live, breathe, and build in our Bedo Powersuits™

A little teaser doesn’t hurt though!
